Never heard of this but..

Kind of excited after seeing Tony Sirico, James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, and other Soprano's stars listed hahah.

It's more kid friendlier version of The Sopranos.

So no visits to the Bada Bing?

Despite all of the amazing "Soprano" actors (I count at least 5) being in this, I can't watch it. It's gonna be on Nickelodeon, so it's not gonna be anywhere close to the intensity and grit and emotionalism that "The Sopranos" gave us. Obviously they're not playing the same characters, and I have no problem seeing these actors in different roles, but when so many of them come together on the same project, mentally it's going to be too much like "The Sopranos" but visually, emotionally, and connectedly it's not going to be like "The Sopranos." I don't want to take any chances on this Nick TV movie ruining my love for "The Sopranos." I obviously don't know what the movie is exactly, but if I turn it on and Tony Soprano isn't kicking Chris Moltisanti's ass and cursing him out after screwing up a hit because he was high on cocaine, then I don't want to watch. Also, I find it interesting that Nickelodeon is really selling this movie by playing up the Soprano mini-reunion. It's highly likely that the main viewing audience for Nickelodeon has never seen an episode of "The Sopranos" in their lifetime, and possibly weren't even born when the show started airing...or even finished airing for that matter.

I'm just disappointed that so many actors from "The Sopranos" are actually doing this. Is this really the best acting jobs they can snag now... a 3rd rate Nick TV movie staring a side character from a cancelled TV show. How those actors have fallen.

I can't help but feel a little disappointed as well. As a matter of fact, I just recently watched "Goodfellas" (for the umpteenth time), which of course has several of "The Sopranos" actors in it as well (some who also appear in this "movie"). I couldn't help but wonder to myself, "How do these people go from a highly praised movie, to one of the most critically acclaimed television shows in history, to this?" I mean, as you put it, it's "a 3rd rate Nick TV movie starring a side character from a cancelled TV show." I guess it's hard out there in Hollywood land. I mean sure, I don't think anyone ever accused Tony Sirico of being the best actor of his time, but nonetheless... And someone like Gandolfini I really don't get. I mean goodness. What that man did in "The Sopranos" was by far some of the best acting, storytelling, etc. for a character of the 21st century. In my mind, he is definitely above something like this. I don't know. I just... I don't know...

They're being typecast.

You do realize this is based on a book written by Steve Schirripa, which is most likely why they are all in it. They are doing it because they're friends not because this is the only job they can get.

reply

Really... Well since you them personally and know they are doing it for friends, could you get me some autographs?

reply

I DO know for a fact that they were doing it for their friend Steve, and not because it's all they can get. And no, you get no autograph for it!

reply

I just said most likely not that I had definitive proof, no need to act like a turd.
