It's so unnatural! You need sunglasses! I guess it's to make up for the utter hollowness of the script and story.

shareIt does have higher contrast but that's probably due to being completely digital. 4k. And boosting the contrast and sharpness to make up for the use of 3D glasses which dim everything.
shareHa! I agree that the color saturation seemed a bit too intense compared to LOTR. BOFA's battle scenes was cartoonishly unreal.

Even compared to the other Hobbit movies, this one looks so...off. And bright, but in a bland way.
