decent film

The rating here is low, but I thought it was a great film. Decent humor and acting.

It had many laugh out loud moments and yet some serious/depressing ones as well. It's definitely an emotional roller-coaster. Above all, it had a great character development. The acting was also very good.

I'd give it 7.5 (or 8) out of 10.

If you get a chance to see it, do it. You won't regret it.

Above Decent Film. I loved the Attention-Getter Opening of the film. So, were we supposed to think that the kid who tried breaking into the car was the owner's son? Like, or unlike snything else in this film, I want to say that this attention-getter worked on every and all levels to override any defects derived there throughout this film.

Supposedly, we could have stayed home and ordered this movie On Demand. I told my boyfriend we were going to the theater to experience it and was so glad we did. My father passed away last month. I was his only daughter. Watching the dynamics between father and son regain their closeness really touched me and just adored the ordinariness of used car salesmen jargen in general.

This movie by far is my favorite film of the Season. Thank you for making this movie.

This might be one of the worst films I've ever seen in over 50 years of watching movies. That's sad because I wanted it to be good. I was able to slog through the drudgery of the plot for about 45 minutes, but couldn't stay awake long enough to see how the story progressed. Hopefully, these actors will find better material before having their faces again plastered all over the celluloid. A good story starts with good writing. This one didn't have it.

One of the worst films - are you kidding?

I thought it was a perfect mix of comedy and drama.
I don't think this was as much of a story-driven film, since the character development was the most important aspect of this movie.

I didn't think it was bad but it struck me as a film that didn't even need to be made. The story wasn't exactly captivating and the direction was bland. I probably would have hated it with lesser actors.

Seems to me that nearly every movie could be described as 'a movie that was not needed to be made'.

I, for one, was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a major mess. I have seen some truly brilliant actors in some huge pile of crap films (Cuba Gooding Jr.?)

Anyways, based on comments here so far, it appears that this movie will not be released, which I think is a shame (I myself 'borrowed' it on the internet). There are tons of films with substantially worse acting/character development/story that get wide release these days, but not this one. I suspect it all comes down to who you know, or who is the film's producer.

It was quite a surprise that I loved this little movie!

All the acting was terrific -- especially Chris Meloni. It was great to see him playing such an unselfish person and father who respected himself and others.

If you like slice of life films, you are sure to enjoy this one!
