Chausseur... Stiff... Terrible acting.

I've just started watching this show and I'm up to s01e08 at present. So far, I've managed to sit through the stiff acting and awkward gaps between dialogue and action with hope that it will mature into itself by season 2. Those errors may have somewhat been slightly avoided in post but, for the love of Godric!... I cannot stand Dr Chausseur. I feel her over acting and inability to connect with the character are a real distraction. Famke Jansen, for me just isn't at her best either.
I am, however, watching with optimism as the premise is good.
