sorry if someone else asked and this has been answered already, I'm lazy and didn't feel like looking through all the threads lol.

But my question is, are those the actor's real nails?

lol. I personally prefer short nails on guys, but I think it's supposed to be part of his character since he's a gypsy and werewolf.

What does being a Gypsy have to do with it? Traditionally in Romani culture, there is a lot of emphasis on grooming and hygiene. It would be LESS likely for him to have long unkempt nails if it was a "Gypsy thing".

He has gorgeous hands and in his case / character I love his long nails.

Long nails on a guy absolutely freak me out. And I remember from early on when the girl (Christina??) asks Peter if he's a werewolf & if I remember, they show that his fingers are in fact the same length. I think they did that only one time so every other time they showed his fingers I was bothered that they clearly were NOT the same length. Seems lazy on the writer's part.

When it showed him looking at the picture that someone had left in his locker vent, I thought that it was just his thumb nails that were long... and I thought that was strange.

It was a day like any other except it was 14 hours long and everybody was wearing pastels

How is that long? That's what my nails look like, to protect my fingers.

Glad there's a thread for this haha, cuz I thought the same thing, it's gross and oddly distracting. Makes him look skeezy and dirty. I know nothing of gypsy stereotypes but maybe his character is suppose look rather unkempt. Seems like a real odd, unnecessary wardrobe/make-up detail, kinda like Shelly's braces.
