Remember Tucker Thayer

Couldn't stop thinking about this case the whole time I was watching the movie...

Fall 2008 Tucker Thayer was a student of Desert Hills High School in Utah. Tucker was "put in charge" of a handgun because his drama teacher wanted "realistic gunshot sound effects" for his production. School officials, teachers, a police officer and parents all signed off on the use of a real gun being brought and used to shoot live blanks on school property. The parent's teacher and school officials all ignored the risks and the teacher put Tucker in charge of firing the gun. Tucker began playing with the gun backstage and shot himself in the head. He died that day. To this day no one has been held accountable and the drama teacher still teaches at the school to this day.

Remember Tucker Thayer, even if the school would rather you forget.

Good job promoting awareness. Didn't recall that. Makes me think of Brandon Lee in 'The Crow'(one of my favorite films ever, ) who died in a similar way, I believe. Gun was loaded in scene. Too bad, sad, bc he would have gone on to make great films as an amazing actor. However, just bc of fame, that takes no more/less importance from the passing of this student as well. Every life is precious. Sorry to hear, or if you had known the victim. But glad you're reminding others. I can't believe the teacher is still there. That's sickening.

Desert Hills High School in Utah

I believe everything can happen in Utah. Most likely Tucker was possessed by the devil because his mother had sexual relations with a middle aged hooker in sauna somewhere or maybe his father refused to marry his wife's little sister or something.Devil was involved either way.

selthe the drama teacher still teaches to this day? Are you kidding? He was the direct cause of what happened. Ridiculous! I will definitely read up on Tucker Thayer's story.
