Thanks for the info about Dabbe Bir Cin Vakasi. I found it on YouTube. Very creeped out. I'd rank it up there with the best of the best.

reply

Do you speak Turkish? Because there are no subs on the youtube version :-(

reply

I found an English sub srt file online for it.

reply

I did the same...It was pretty poor IMO.
How anyone can enjoy that but also say that Paranormal Activity was bad, is beyond me.

Cannibal Holocaust

I have seen a lot of these found footage-style films ever since The Blair Witch Project, and I saw Cannibal Holocaust for the first time last year. I found Cannibal Holocaust to be the best.

Troll Hunter was also fantastic.

reply

I actually really liked As Above So Below.

A bit of the old ultraviolence...

[REC] was awesome, as was its first sequel.

And I enjoyed the found footage movie "Creep" that came out recently. There were a few dumb things in it (if you watch it to the end you'll see what I mean) but overall I found it really creepy and unsettling in a good way!

reply

[REC] for sure. It has quality camerawork, with no herky jerk movements every five seconds. It makes sense, as a news cameraman would have experience and should be able to hold the heavy camera still.

Another favourite of mine is Man Bites Dog, its a dark comedic mockumentary.

I am also fond of VHS 2

reply

I don't know exactly how far you're willing to take the horror genre? But I liked Cloverfield.

reply

They are all bad, with the exception perhaps given to Cloverfield.

reply

Nope. No exception there.

reply

The Paranormal Activity franchise. Love those movies.
