This was nothing short of excellent. The direction and cinematography are top notch. Also a rare 3 for 3 on child actors and the adults are all veterans who know what they're doing. Not a typical horror movie, it's more of a drama with sudden bursts of realistic violence. I won'y ruin anything but it is rather shocking when you realize what's really going on with these people. Great film I highly recommend.

Unfortunately many a person has already ruined it in their thread titles.

Blue Ruin was also a hell of a good time.

I think this was a fantastic movie in it's tone, acting, and overall story that it tells. That being said, it is as slow as the passing of time itself and ends on a bit of a head-scratcher (which I do like, don't get me wrong).

If anything, I would also call this a "drama" film and leave it at that.
