Sort of very similar to 'The Hamiltons'

anybody else massively reminded of the movie "the hamiltons"?

The premise is kinda very similar, tho the locations and characters are quite different... it's just that in "The Hamiltons" the characters aren't as inkhorn as in this one.. I didn't think this was all bad, just sort of far fetched and possibly a rip of. Tho it's different enough.

tradition as a reason for canibalism - sorry but i'm not buying it...

"The Hamiltons" was way better, and it's solution was more fitting...
Is this ripping of a great indie movie or just accidently similar?

It didn't remind me very much of The Hamiltons. This movie had no vampires, no secret horror in the basement that turned out to be a family member...
