As for Cruises's appearance, I'm guessing credit goes to semi clean living, conservative plastic surgery, hair color, hair replacement or stim, an on call dermatologist and trainer, and maybe h.g.t.. and/or hormones. And definitely working out like crazy is a key. I'm sure not going through menopause helps too. I wonder if there's a "normal people" picture of him. I can't imagine working in an industry like that. What would it be like to work in a field where you had to look basically flawless?
It's a cruel industry but even harsher on women who seem to be held to a higher visual standard in life anyway. McGillis is probably in her mid or late fifties. A typical woman in her 50s has a body that is not cooperating. There is a complete change in the skin and a shift in metabolism, and in where your body wants to put your fat. You wake up in someone else's body that seems to be in need of a iron and a tape worm. Muscle tone is harder to maintain, and no one wants to spend a couple hours every day maintaining their body. Never mind what the hormone changes and youthful tanning does to your skin (which is headed south on its own unless you have deep pockets or really good genes..) And if you smoke or drink your skin gets a double whammy..(poor blood flow in smoking).
Basically, if you are a man or younger woman, you aren't really going to have a clue the effort and money it takes; and if you get good genes and take good care of yourself, maybe you never will.
Anyway.....I just pulled up the board looking for Atlanta show times or dates. Anyone know about Atlanta?
