underrated because it's a remake

I know that a lot of people are prejudiced against Hollywood remakes of non-Hollywood films, including myself most of the time. But when these remakes are praised, I give them a chance and sometimes they turn out good (like Let Me In) or even better than the original (like The Ring). This film was far better than the Mexican original and a good film in itself. If it wasn't a remake and was a totally original film, its rating would definitely not be 5.8, it would be higher I think.
