Stevie Nicks has disappointed me.

I love Fleetwood Mac, and I loved to hear about the history of that band through this movie.
But when I went to the premiere in Hollywood and waited for Stevie for almost two hours outside of the theater she brushed off everyone with, "if I can't sign things for everyone then I don't want to sign for *anyone*."
It was a massive disappointment for many of us-- we were there mostly for her. She just said this sentence then rushed away.
Dave Grohl and Krist were very kind and spoke with and accommodated the fans and dealers (dealers are people, too-- poor people who are working hard for sigs).
But Stevie has a sort of egotistical attitude that even shows up in the film. I don't remember the exact thing she said-- something like, "I'm very radical, you know."
.............K.

As someone stated earlier, her singing in the film was pretty uninspired and pedestrian.
It doesn't cause me to dislike her or the band's legacy, but....
Man... so disappointed.

"If I can't sign things for everyone then I don't want to sign for *anyone*."

Translation: I can't be bothered with the fans who made me clamoring for signatures. I'm above all that.

If you're as big a fan of hers as it appears, did you find this really surprising? Is it not typical behavior for her in dealing with fans? Sure sounds like it was to me.

Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Tarkin: Enough of this! Vader, release him!

Sorry to hear that she wasn't accommodating for signatures. Personally, I never went for that and wouldn't know what to do with some signed paper or whatever. Perhaps an old album might be nice to get signed, but I never carry one with me. I liked seeing the segment on Buckingham/Nicks LP. My brother really liked that and I dug the cover. Once I listened to it, I was sold on Lindsey's unique guitar playing. Seeing this film and knowing the hook-up for Fleetwood Mac was a great story. We may never have known their talents had their success not followed.

I really liked the song they did with Stevie. I haven't listened to her in a long time, but I saw her with Grohl on Letterman tonight and really enjoyed the performance she did. It doesn't have to be Landslide for me to appreciate it. I've always liked Dave Grohl and he continues to impress me with his Art.

Yeah, I had the Bella Donna album and a silver sharpie.

Well then there's no excuse. You provided everything, she should have been honored to sign it. I probably would stop only for these type of requests because they are probably the truest of fans.

Nicks sounds like a billy goat singing into an electric fan. There are a million artists out there using the "new stuff" that are better than she is. She is a bitter old crone longing for the days when her label paid people off to play her music on radio and MTV. She probably blames "American Idol" for the demise of her career too, just like the other has-beens out there. It's all about the songs. If you have the songs it doesn't matter what kind of equipment you use to record them.

I've never liked Nicks' style of signing ... barely understandable. I'm guessing once she made her first mil the life she was living she left and then rose above it all. Too bad she didn't tell her fans :(
