Floki's Icelandic adventure has been both frustrating and fascinating

Floki's adventures really broke up some of the general monotony of the overall drama. But that said, overall it felt like they took too many liberties. They hike for days, with nothing but rocks and ground cover, but suddenly had lots of timber to build a temple and housing (assuming they didn't go back and use the boats, as that's a long ways to transport the wood). Wondering where they got their food as well, since at one point they stated they only had food for a short time.

Regardless, love the exploration aspect, and the end was interesting.

Ok, apparently the island was 25% forested at this time due to a global warm period, though we never see any of it.

I agree.
