Where has Lagertha gone?

Was her body taken from the battlefield where Alfred faced Harald's army? Or did she manage to escape being still alive and somehow able to move? Where did she go and has she joined others in her escape?

reply

Unless a true son of Ragnar killed her on the stealth (which would be an utterly lame and unbelievable plot device seeing how the only candidates are friendly fire from Bjorn or Ubbe, can't see Hirst going there) she's still alive to fight another day.

And what was even the point of the whole Ealhswith-Bjorn fling if nothing is going to come of it?

reply

I think she's still alive too. No doubt she'll make an appearance later at either an opportune or inopportune moment.

Unless this is supposed to create a potentiality for later on when they need to negotiate with Alfred and she becomes their "insider advocate" when Alfred is again put under pressure to delay or modify his promise to give over East Anglia to them.

reply

I think she wandered off into the woods struck with grief over the death of
Bishop Heahmund.
reply

That's an interesting thought and probably likely given their relationship.

This weeks episode did not give a answer to the question where she was, only the opening of the show showed her standing over his body, but it was either Ubbe or Bjorn who said that Ragnar once also vanished and just showed up one day as we have seen in one of the previous seasons. So they might will be going with that idea.

reply

Yeah, Ragnar disappeared because he was experiencing a major crisis in faith or in life. Now, Lagertha will have disappeared to reflect perhaps after losing her love and return at some point to see what her tribe is doing.

Found Lagertha XD

The battle is never finished for Lagertha. :)

Lagertha talks to Bjorn after reappearing in England: "Hey, you'll never believe what I have discovered while being away. Look - this is a gun and here are some explosives. They increase your power in battle many fold. There are many more where these come from! This will ensure our place in England I am sure, regardless of the armies that might be sent against us."

:)

Well, seems we know now what happened, and it was as i thought, she went insane of grief, found by a healer or witch in the forests.

reply

Indeed - she was pretty much in a deep state of shock as well as tapping into the vibe of Ragnar during the time she was lost in her mental tempest.

She was lucky that Judith was seeing the healer or else she may have been gone for some time perhaps without the help of those who knew her.

reply

She's a semi-mystical being now because the show is too lazy to kill her off.
