Anyone know how they'd film those shots of Ubbe throwing the axe at Alfred?

Looked like the original actors, not stuntmen or axe throwing experts. And the shots coming from Ubbe's POV throwing the axe at the tree while Alfred ducks look seriously risky and dangerous.

These days, the axes in the POV shots could be CGI.
