Two episodes in and a vast improvement over season 4A. I regained my hope in this show again.

Agree 100%. Already better and more involving. Not looking forward to Ragnar's demise though.

More than just the DEMISE of RAGNAR is coming ...

because THE ENTIRE VIKING SOCIETY will CONVERT and will also become CHRISTAINS.

And IMAGINE how that's going to make the ANTI CHRISTAIN FLOKI, IVAR, and THE BROOD MARE feel.

It will probably make FLOKI feel like even though he KILLED HIM, ATHELSTAN has still WON the BATTLE of WITTS that FLOKI kept having with him???

So far I like the season. Though again, we get a copycat shield maid.

Somebody should speak to Hirst to tell him there was a life outside military training a la Lagertha and witchcraft a la Aslaug.

Astried is so boring she has to die!

The middle initial is S standing for Sarcasm.

After being SCREWED OVER by HARALDSON who burned down her FARM HOUSE ...

and by THE BROOD MARE who stole her husband ...

and by KALF who STOLE her EARLDOM from her ...

and watching as both BORG AND HORIK tried to STEAL KATTEGAT from RAGNAR ...

and finally with the NEWS that ECBERT'S also BETRAYED her ...

she knows all too well that it's BEST to KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE and YOUR ENEMIES even CLOSER.

In other words, she also KNOWS what this WOMAN is REALLY AFTER.

MOST likely she's also a SPY who's been sent to keep an EYE on her by the NORWAY BROTHERS.

So she's just going along with the FLOW and PLAYING the GAME AGAIN.

The KIND that HORIK also explained the UPPER CLASSES like to PLAY.

And YES it does also GET BORING to keep PLAYING these kind of GAMES, which is also why RAGNAR LEFT town.

Because He was also TIRED and WORN OUT from PLAYING them all of the time with HARALDSON, BORG, HORIK, ECBERT and AELLE.

PLAYING GAMES is HARD WORK.

It takes it's TOLL on you.

So LAGERTHA just sits back and RELAXES and GOES with the FLOW until the time comes to STOP PLAYING the GAME and ELIMINATE her OPPONENT.

Agreed. I'm liking this part of the season even more. I like how they've brought in new characters, as the timeline progresses, smoothly. His grown sons, especially Ivar, add a lot to it all.
