The whole pet ashes thing

This episode sucked overall, but this part really bothered me. How could they throw their dead pets around like they were just... dirt? I know that seems a little bit sensitive, but I love my animals and I can't imagine throwing around their ashes like they were nothing when they were dead.

And when they /tasted/ the pets... that was horrible. Imo. For some reason this part just really bugged me.

I said the same thing on a different thread. It also made them look that much more materialistic, IMO because they tossed the ashes of their departed animals at eachother just as easily as they tossed all the "stuff" off the balcony. Implying that even the pets they once loved were just possessions to them, too.

They did what? I didn't see it.

I'll read your post :) and Francesca called Dina a hoarder, and made her throw a bunch of things out including the ashes of their dead pets. They threw them around and into each other's mouths at one point. It disgusted me.

OMG, thank you, I thought I was the only one that felt this way. At first they said they were going to have a nice little ceremony, then the blond daughter started whacking the hell out of a box she couldn't open, then they all started acting like jerks! I know some people think "they're just animal ashes", but if they saved the ashes, obviously the pets meant something to them at one point! I think it was partly acting out due to being on camera, and partly because, well, that blond one kind of strikes me as a spoiled brat and she's one of those people that thinks inappropriate things are funny, and just does stuff to get attention.

My parents have all our dogs' ashes, and I have my dog and cat's ashes, and I'd never do that withbtheir ashes.

Will Mrs. Eastwood and company do this with Clint's ashes after he dies?

I finally saw that scene and was really taken aback. I thought you guys were all saying that they were throwing the urns around, which I think is bad enough, but NO - they opened the plastic bags and were throwing the actual ashes at each other. How can they look at this footage and not be totally ashamed of themselves? And Dina - what kind of example does she set to be part of this? Disgusting.

It was pretty disgusting. Dina is just as immature & annoying as the girls, but they are just young girls, but whats her excuse? I would not be surprised if this is how they treat poor Clint's ashes!

I thought I was the only one bothered by that scene! Our family dog died in 2004 and we still have his ashes. We recently moved to another state/new house and throughout the whole day we were moving, my dad asked numerous times if we still had "our dog" with us. I love my pets too much, that would just feel wrong throwing them carelessly at someone to be "funny."
