I don't think so. IMHO, Dina wants to be a star a la Kris Jenner; her daughters are hoping to be the next Kim, Khloe or Kourtney. We've only see one episode and as is the norm on reality shows, there appears to be elements of staging e.g. Dina getting her navel pierced. That's probably why you got the impression of a midlife crisis.

I wanna have dinner with Gershwin
I wanna Rembrandt sketch
I wanna talk theory with Curie
Impossible, I guess.

This world does not need another Kris Jenner, one is enough. But I can see why E! is looking for a Kardashian replacement, people are getting sick of them.

How is she Kris Jenner ? No comparison. Jenner's the workaholic, Clint's the workaholic. Kris is in charge of the household. What the #% would we do if our husbands were old enough to be our our father? Knit? She's having fun.

Dina Ruiz Eastwood has been a respected journalist in Salinas, and also a television host for Candid Camera. Candid Camera (the 90s-2000s version) used to film predominately in Monterey County, and pretend to be in an undiscloed part of middle America. She has been a journalist well before her marriage to the Awesome Clint Eastwood! I do think its like comparing apples and oranges when comparing ms Eastwood and Ms Jenner, they are successful for whatever reasons in their own right, good for them.

She does have the fake drama that Kris Jenner made popular. Her raised in wealth TV daughters seem to not understand a gift from a frined of colleague is not trash. Mrs. Eastwood pretends to be attuned to less-fortunate people, but insists on throwing things away instead of giving them to the less-fortunate, or to a celebrity auction or to Goodwill. Bet here is nothing got tossed once the cameras stopped.

Good god what has Clint agreed to?
