I was rather surprised that the infamous rugby match in 1995 in South Africa was not included in this film even though that was a big part in the Invictus film in which Morgan Freeman did a great job playing the Mandela character.

There was so many they could've included but didn't. As my friend put it, they could've made it more "epic", but it would be a 3 hour long movie.
Also many of the scenes and stories were simplified. The CODESA talks actually failed the first time and had to be restarted. There was bombings of airports. There was lots of action from right-wing white Afrikaans people. The movie didn't do justice.
