Not just close. Apartheid was very much a monster that had to be done away with. South Africa was indeed fortunate it had this man who was able to breach the divide and lay the foundation for a way forward. SA still obviously has a long way to go to overcome decades of oppression and tyranny. Civilized people wish them well in their journey.
