DS Cottan...

... Pisses me the hell off!!!! Why take the envelope meant for Arnett? Who knows with this guy!
Ugh when are they going to find out he is the 'caddy'. I can't handle it lol.

reply

He didn't take the envelope,he took the hit list in it as it had Tommy Hunters name in it meaning Lindsay Denton would have her conviction overturned as she's innocent.

reply

Right. I meant the letter not the actual envelope lol. True... I thought maybe it was to do with his role in things as opposed to Denton. Probably both.

reply

Thing is, Lindsay Denton was complicit in the hit on Tommy Hunter. She was a great 'actor' in throwing suspicion off of her, and yes she figured she'd be the fall person when she survived the hit.

And it was borne out by the Caddy himself that she took the money, but she still had shreds of her integrity left in trying to bring him in. She knew how to take advantage of a situation, re the flashback of the Tommy Hunter hit.

reply

I think Cottan would be right at home on the Strike Squad.

Was Waldron's list composed of individuals that he has taken out or is it a general list of people who need to be / have been / got by anyone/any means.

reply

I think it's s list of everyone that abused the boys from the school he went to and he has crossed a few names off the list (those dead/killed).. The rest were on the hit list! :)

reply

So has a still unknown 3rd party determined that Waldron was the one doing it and thus coerced a team member to kill him?

reply

Will have to wait and see! Or one of the team members just got sick of him pushing them around.

reply

I have to say that up until the last 60 seconds of s03e01 I thought it was going to be a really boring series. And then seeing Denton in her cell was the cherry on the top of a very delicious cake.

reply

Yes! Denton is a great character. I'm always so conflicted about her!

reply

This is the best role Keeley has had or certainly the best I've seen her in, and she should keep up the good work, she's great in this.

reply

Are you including the Ashes to Ashes series? I guess what is so great about seeing her here is that she is just so completely opposite of what we know. I seriously did not recognize her until the end of s02e01.

reply

Or Spooks? The Durrells?

reply

Not watched The Durrells but Hermione Norris was the best female lead in Spooks for me. Never expected to say it but Rupert Penry-Jones was the best male wise. Loved his character. I only started to watch it when Richard Armitage came into it but then went back to series inception. Mr Keeley was also excellent.

reply

No, not including it as am hugely biased, I really like John Simm and felt it spoilt it a bit with her and Gene with the sexual tension. Loved the whole concept of Ashes and Life on Mars though (RIP Bowie).

State of Play is a good single series using some of the LoM cast. I thought there was more sexual tension with Gene and the Quattro. ;-)
