Doctor Who - Shada

Douglas Adams was story editor of Doctor Who in 1980. He wrote the episode "Shada" which was never completed due to a production strike, but later released on video with narration to fill in the gaps of the unfilmed sequences. "Shada" featured a character named Professor Chronotis (a renegade timelord, like the Doctor), who appears prominently in the novel Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, but not in the TV series. (Dirk does not appear in the Doctor Who episode.) Fans of the original books should seek out the video of Doctor Who: "Shada".

Darned BBC strike.

I didn't know someone had put what they could of Shada on a video. I know that they used footage from Shada in The Five Doctors because Baker wouldn't return to do it.

The BBC have also put the Shada online with story re-jigged to include the 8th Doctor.

Thanks for posting this! With the new series, it's really awesome to get the Doctor Who connection. The whole show gives me a Dr. Who vibe...
