Things I learned from watching this movie

1. When the plane is flying at the beginning its call letters are C-FJSM. But after it crashes at least three of the letters on the fuselage are now LHA.

2. The throttle controls in the single engine plane shown at the beginning are actually for a dual engine plane.

3. After the helicopter carrying the soldiers is shot down, Captain Steakley orders Haldeman to get the others out of the wreckage. When she goes into the wreckage she tells the survivors that this 'plane' is unstable and they need to get out. She should have said that the helicopter was unstable.

4. While the action is supposedly occurring in some Central or South American country, the call sign of the plane that crashes (C-FJSM) indicates that it is registered in Canada.

5. Somehow, even though Professor Roxton has been stranded in the dinosaur crater for ten years, his clothes show no wear and tear. Plus, he apparently found a vest during that time, that he was not wearing at the time of the crash.

You guys got more out of this than I did, but then again I was pretty drunk whilst viewing this turkey and barely remember any of it except for the terrible CGI dinosaur.

7. When firing an M-4 or variant, the receiver cover/ejection port can be closed permanently, and the rifle will still fire automatic fire, all while no brass is ejected, yet muzzle flash still spew from the closed ejection port for some bizarre reason.

8. A LAW aka light anti tank weapon which is U.S. designed will be called an RPG by U.S. soldiers, and when fired, somehow becomes a guided missile despite it being fired at a cold blooded animal.

9. The bad guy wants the soldiers to die on the island for no actually reason other than feeling that everyone is expendable when there is absolutely no reason for anyone to die.

In regard to number 8, many paleontologists believe that the dinosaurs were warm-blooded. Their bodies were far too big for them to have to lay out in the sun to warm up so they could become active. Also, birds which are the living descendants of dinosaurs are warm-blooded, so it's reasonable to assume that the T-Rex and raptors were warm-blooded as well.

I agree that the T-Rex headshot at the end was laugh-out-loud ridiculous.

10. Natascha Berg looks great in shorts. All other observations pale in comparison.

HahA! Agreed. Never seen Natascha in anything before this. Damn, she was hot.

11. When trying to escape from a lumbering Triceratops, rather than creating angles by zigzagging, run in a straight line so it can impale you through the back with one of its horns.

12. After you are rescued by helicopter from a land that's infested with dinosaurs, you might as well blow a T-Rex's head off with a rocket launcher simply because you can.
