Out of curiosity: why do tickets to these films cost $20?

One of the Regal theaters near me has started showing Indian films recently and I noticed on Fandango that tickets to this movie cost $20 for adults and $10 for children!!! This theater normally charges $13/adults and $9/kids! I wasn't planning on seeing any of them but I'm quite puzzled why ticket prices to these Bollywood movies are so high.

I is one of the most awaited films in India. It is releasing in 15 languages and 15000 screens which is the most for any Indian film. So no wonder that the ticket prices were increased there. If you are still not convinced watch his previous movies Gentleman, Premikudu, Bharateeyudu, Aparichithudu and Oke Okkadu you will know why people go crazy about his films.

At my local Regal Theater, this movie ticket is $8-$10.50 depending upon showtime.

Just bought my ticket for 6.75..Early bird sure..but a 1:00 showing
