You're misusing the term "literally." It can't literally be the exact same thing unless it airs the same exact episodes.

The two shows are similar but not identical. Restaurant Stakeout focuses on the staff as a whole and Mystery Diners focuses on one single employee. That said, both shows are fake as a 3 dollar bill....so in that respect yes, they are the same lol.

I've been watching the new episodes. It's all *beep* fake. You can totally tell they're using actors (before they start using the actors to gauge the staff) and trying to up the drama. It's way too over-the-top now. At least before it didn't look so obviously fake. This show sucks now.
