The waitress says "bananas" and Willie flips out. I would have probably said the same thing. It really doesn't take much imagination to figure that one out. Unless they have some really avant garde banana bread pudding..it doesn't need explanation.

Well it could have walnuts, nutmeg, etc. Some people, not me, have Nut Allergies.
shareI'm not totally defending the waitress, but I wouldn't have handled it that way.I would tell the waitress that if someone asks a question that's confusing to follow it up with a probing question.
Maybe it threw her off because of the way it was asked. I thought it came across kind of like "who's buried in Grant's tomb" They're basically trying to expose how the wait staff doesn't know the menu. The plant could have just asked how the dish was prepared and we would have seen a better result. If she doesn't know what's in the dish, I'm sure she would be just as dumbfounded if not more so.

Nutmeg isn't dangerous to people with nut allergies. I had to look that up after I made something for a dinner party where one of the guests wasn't able to eat nuts.
