FINALLY!

Yeah, James! Finally someone knows how to be a coach. Parents should never be allowed in practice. And never finish a routine that was not tight and right at the start. Hope James stays and everyone else leaves. Would love to see more cheering and less drama.

windycheryl - R U "James" do you know him ? He isn't that great. The amount of gyms he talked about being at, basically where all the same gym. He got his start in one gym, that gym helped him out by putting a new gym in a nearby town. Then a new gym was formed from that gym, those owners left and a new gym formed with new owners. In other words: He started out at gym number 1, which created gym #2, the owners back out of that due to James. Thus the parents got together and formed gym #3 (keeping James and the other coach), the drama was such the owners left. Parents once again, created gym #4 (with James and the other coach). Gym #4 sold (James credit is such he can not get financing to have his own gym). Three out of these Gyms where in the same small town. The new owners where more then willing to keep James around, under their terms (he lacks morals, new owner wanted morals). Thus James left, not only the gym but his wife and son. He also has a daughter from a previous affair. He did not leave alone. His mistress went with him, now that she is of legal age, she is also a new coach at CTR. He did give the new owners a whopping one week notice to find a new coach. But the girls here still tied into a contrac, three weeks where paid for, even if comp. season was over, he owned the girls time. Also, did you catch where he stated 9 out of 10 times his teams win. Yes, he is a good coaching wise sometimes (his morals suck). Last year at his last gym, the girls only won one comp. it was a bad year. If you look at US Finals rankings for 2013, CTR's level 2 Jr. team ranked 35 :( They came in 4 or 5 at their regional comp. We've done US Finals and that's not good. The show was already crap and by adding James they really craped on the crap. But it's reality, thus their is some behind the scenes reality you won't find on TLC.

wallflowerone,
I figured he was just someone brought in by the network to play the part of a more disciplined coach so the wins would actually have some merit. These girls are a hot mess and the parents are pathetic. Didn't realize he was real with a history of coaching. Most reality shows are just scripted drama anyway.

windycheryl - he is a real cheer coach and really wasn't a bad one, just his morals. His teams have been known to rock the stage and win a lot, but only once last season. I am sure a lot of what we had seen was scripted. Their meeting in the restraunt for their chat. He and Alisha have been friends for sometime. Alisha may not have known about the drama between his (ex)wife and his mistress he brought with him after he left his old gym. Until after the fact. But Alisha from my understanding let them both stay in her basement until they could get their own place. He did tell the moms on CP to google him, but it may be hard to find info. on him if you don't know where to look. You can go to Topix.com (there is gossip about him their), you'll have to know the cities/towns he worked in then search using his name, the words cheer or cheerleading, or the gyms name. Some has been removed, from the latest and from the Sherwood site. As for the four gyms he has claimed to coach at, they've pretty much been the same gym just different names & owners. The 1st gym was Cheers Unlimited in Jonesboro, AR. They opened a 2nd gym in Wynne, Ar to give James his own gym. After about a year that fizzled out, due to James. Someone started Arkansas Elite in the same town with the same coaches, their was some drama (I believe once again with James). Those owners up and left and Arkansas Elite is no longer around (I do believe the owners sort of screwed the parents and girls over with this). So then it became TNT (Top Notch Training), some parents started it and once again the same coaches. Last season was when James gave his one week notice and thus all the info. in my previous post.

HBO sports did a docu. on the TNT gym some years ago. I tried to find it for you in this site but couldn't. I don't think James got any air time, the other coach did.

In no way do I mean to slander the other gyms I've named in this post. Actually Cheers Unlimited, with short notice (a week or two later) agreed to contract with TNT owners to have a cheer program. It really isn't that easy to find a coach on that short of notice to come to a small rural town to work at a small gym. James could have, with his connections help the new owners but he choose not to.

If it appears I am slandering James, well he did choose to be on a reality show. I didn't state all neg. "he wasn't 100% bad coach".
