Petition to bring it back?

Is there one? And how do we start one?

Find it a cult following the size of and as crazed as Arrested Development and wait seven years?

Honestly, and sadly, the show is dead. Not enough people watched it, it lacked the fanatic small viewership, as well as the cultural significance that plays a part in show saving campaigns. Very few shows are lucky enough to be saved by online petitions.

Not to be mean or anything but this is the only show that got me bored while in season 1!
There hasn't been another show to bore me like this in years!
So, I've watched it because I kinda got used to it but I'm glad it's over.

The show had potential, but the Mary Poppins take-off stunk. The show kind of reminded me of an old Judd Hirsch after-Taxi program called "Dear John" which I liked. I appreciate Matthew Perry's acting in the 21st century better than in "Friends", and I can't wait to see more of Laura Benanti, she is a beauty.

Go On, RIP

You guys might give up that easily, but in my opinion this show is better than Park and even the new Community without Dan Harmon, so these petitions are already signed by me:

Online petitions do not work. Not even in a "you never know" way. Total waste of time, sorry. Shows are kept on air or canceled for financial reasons, nothing more. The show had really bad ratings and that's how these shows live or die on the big 4 networks. It may have done better on a cable channel where these off beat shows do ok with small ratings. But signing a petition will do nothing.

I loved the show but knew full well after a couple episodes few people would like it and it was probably doomed. From my understanding it got huge ratings the first couple airings, so it had a chance to find an audience but the masses didn't bite

Not entirely true. Shows have been saved by fans in the past and, while not the only factor, online petitions played a part in doing so. Jericho, Firefly/Serenity, AD, Friday Night Lights to name a couple all returned for at least a little while largely due to fan driven campaigns.

Though I agree it would be a waste of time and energy to try to bring something as poorly watched and as lacking of a crazed fanbase as Go On was it's not like online petitions are totally worthless if there exists large enough a voice.

This show is heartfelt, well acted and hilarious. Most great sitcoms get low ratings on their first seasons. Cheers was completely under the radar it's first season and it ended up representing a decade. Parks and rec was barely noticed during season one even though it is fronted by the great Amy Poehler. Friends did not start as a hit. NBC is not paying attention to what has made them money in the past. Starting a season with only two returning sitcoms is crazy. If this petition were to work it would be in NBC's favor.

You're not honestly comparing Go On with Cheers are you? Cheers was a show produced by a guy with a proven track record, and was a show that the network believed in (for obvious reason). They new that if handled with any degree of competency the show would be a hit.

Friends WAS a hit from the start. Go On was given a full season to find an audience, or even significant critical acclaim. It didn't, because it just wasn't that good.

and the hop, skip, jumping all over the schedule and stuff had nothing to do with it...
Ain't no circus like an Andy Serkis

It takes longer than a few episodes for a sitcom to hit it big. It takes more than a season.

It's dead. The show started out strong but started slipping pretty early on. It got way too ridiculous and over the top. Most of the jokes didn't land and the character development was sorely lacking. I have a feeling if the show continued it'd be a mess.
With that said. I was surprised that Community got renewed and this didn't. Season 4 was painful to watch and I thought for sure Go On would replace it. But nope. I was wrong.
And as it turns out they're only doing a 5th season of Community so they can run it in syndication. Typical NBC nonsense.
