An ultimate act of evil? (spoilers)

I loved this movie, and I get the feeling of redemption and justice the director was trying to comunicate in the end. But it left me thinking in one thing if you try to imagine what happens next...
His redeeming action (commiting suicide chaining himself to the van) was a little negligent, here's why:
The girl will be accused of murder once they discover that she is carrying (and leaving a giant tray of blood in the road) a mutilated corpse right in the middle of the city!!

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room."

Negligent on the character's part? Yes. He was impulsive and in a great deal of mental agony.

I'm sure we're supposed to assume it'll be clear it was suicide. The girl won't be blamed.
