Forget the fact this show is completely fake. There's no time to keep popping out of the ice and have all these soap opera scenes. Anybody with a brain would have divers going 24/7. Work hours, get a cut.

But then they show all the reaper crew standing around listening to the Ranger crew argue? How are they able to do this? Because they're not dredging either, they're waiting to be filmed in some elaborate, made up drama too.

Why are they so close to each other? Makes it easier on the film crew!

Further the claims the Reaper team is on such a shoe string budget, despite their tight shots trying to hide equipment you get glimpses that they have at least $20,000 worth of equipment around that ramshackle shed. I even doubt the cob job pumping equipment shown is the actual equipment being used. The Aquacom is $1700, the Henderson wetsuit is $550(that's just the wetsuit) not all the stuff attached, which looks easily like another $2000.

But this latest episode trying to hammer home women are practically useless as divers? Pretty much there to take the side of a male in their endless arguments with each other?

I know dozens of military female divers who would run circles around ANYBODY on this show!

If anybody in the know ever catches this show, expect a big controversy.

intrepidami. Have you ever been to the mid-west? You can see farmers with $100,000 John Deere tractors and other expensive equipment and they don't have an extra dime.
Do you know why? Because they are mortgaged to the hilt. They can barely make their notes and their taxes.
Good equipment does not equal success. Poor equipment is sure failure. Would you dive under the ice in the Bering Sea with a used Army surplus wet suit?
I'm guessing your answer is no.

I have not seen the producers hiding expensive equipment with tight shots.
On the contrary, the dredgers brag about their

Divers going 24/7 ?
How many divers do you think they have? How many hours do you think a diver can safely work in a 24 hr period? How about the weather? That can give you days of down time.

Are you mildly aware how destructive sea water is on machines?

As for female divers. Those were the unfortunate opinions of a few macho men.
It was not presented as fact.

'Reality Shows' are popular with TV producers because they are cheap.
Anyone who believes that Discovery Channel invents everything and pays for everything is a fool.
They don't.
