Just a few issues with this movie... spoilers.

So they are in the Alps near a glacier but yet its not cold, the main character is seen walking around in his underwear and no breath is seen at all in this film. No one thinks is a good idea for the group to stay at the base of the moutnian while they are trying to figure out what's going on. Oh you give the drunk of the camp a bottle of morephine. You are a government research team and you keep a drunk as a memember. If I heard rapid fox on more time I would scream.... Were did the girl with shorts and a tank top come from? Why was she alone and running up a mountian!?!? So you have a dead mutant bug, that comes back to life and jumps on the scientists face while putting it in a shed for no reason. I'm on fire, stop drop and roll never came to mind, ok scientist. Scientist 1 acidently kills scientist 2 with the giant but on her face, drags her a 100 meters or more in a dark ice cave, but leaves the satphone on her dead body.... WTF. I could go on but you get the idea.

I liked the effects in this movie, I thought the story was pretty decent but what ruined it was the characters doing stupid things made so sense what so ever!

The very ending with the dog/human baby hybrid thing..... Are you f^&king serious!?!?!? The little abortion backstory to guilt trip them into keeping it, please.....

Personally, I was wondering where the hell the blood glacier went.
It was there, they come back later, and it's gone.
Where'd it go?

And you forgot the Ibex-thing attacking them, token bossy female minister attacks it with a drill.. then, later, beardy guy walks out with a rifle..

This was rubbish.. I fail to see how it got 5.8 here. It's a lame "man made" climate change propaganda movie.

So many idiotic plot holes - a few:

• Where did the lone girl come from, up in a glacier area?
• As if a militant bossy-bitch minister is going to hike up there - she'd have gone up via helicopter!
• the drilled Ibex and the unused rifle.
• giving the beardy guy the bottle of morphine?
• the older guy is "too old to go up to the hut" but he's their "alpine guide" and led them up to the main camp!

I'm guessing all of the "up-voters" that got it to 5.8 are the same simpletons who trot along to the lies and fantasy of "Anthropogenic Climate Change".

I was with you until you turned into a climate change denier....lol But seriously using climate change as a plot isn't propaganda as you call it, its just a plot device. Relax have a glass of wine, and watch Fox News...lol

(We don't have Fox News here)

You're right, it's a plot device.. but it stops being one when they have the people mention "mankind has killed the world" every few scenes; it then becomes a propaganda piece.
It didn't add to the film - they could have dropped the "man killed the world" thing entirely and not changed the story at all (after all, the only input it had was a melting glacier releasing the organism; they could have done that with deep core drill testing of the ice).

Anyway, this isn't the place to discuss that. Suffice to say, I'm not a denier, I'm a sceptic - I've looked at both sides of the issue and tend to disbelieve the "man made" side.

Anyway:

I still feel it was a lost opportunity.
Imagine if it had been made more like (not a copy, but similar to in terms of story) "Evolution" crossed with a Zombie movie of some sort..

I can only answer one plot hole. I think the lone girl who was attacked by the mutant falcon might have come from a nearby chalet or the exact same chalet the minister and her group came from. When Janek is about the call Tanya for the first time, it cuts to a scene of the minister and her group about to eat. As they're about to eat, a young woman about the same age in similar outfit to the attacked girl says, "Enjoy your meal." and then walks away from the table. You can only see the back of her head and her clothes are different from the attacked girl. So it may not be the same girl. However, I'm just trying to say that there were young women the same age, wearing the same type of clothes living in that area. We see her briefly before the group sets out. So it's not too far-fetched that there'd be a young woman running out there like that. If not from the group's chalet then probably from another one nearby.

I know it's supposed to be a horror film, but to me it would be ever so much more scary if the scientists actually acted like scientists instead of imbeciles.

Funniest scene in the whole movie. Just bizarre!🐭

She materialized just as I was thinking to myself, "this flick needs a little leg."
