If women showing their breasts in public places isn't a big deal, then shouldn't it also be a big deal being completely naked in public places? In other words, you seem to be a person who thinks that every person should go for picnic to Central Park or wherever and be naked, because a naked body is nothing to be ashamed of, right? Well, my question is, why do some people feel the need to be naked in public? I have never felt the need to show my penis in a public place. I was raised like wearing clothes everytime I'm outside, and I swear to God, it has never affected my life negatively in any way.
Why do some people feel the need to show their genitals to people who don't know? So, no, I don't understand what's the big deal. Being a woman in Iran or wherever and not have the right to show your face or any part of your skin, yes, that's outrageous. But in my opinion, a woman can live perfectly happy without going to work and being topless.
And besides, I don't know about America, but like I said, in my country, Greece, a woman being topless at a beach is a natural and common thing. No one bothers, no one says anything. And I'm sure there are beaches for nudists everywhere, where you can go and be completely naked if you feel like it. In central Europe, they have camps for families who go there and they're ALL naked, from babies to old people. And I'm sure they have in American places like that too. So, there are places to show your "privates" if you want to.
Closing, there is a difference between a man's breasts and a woman's breasts. I'm sure you know what I mean, but I'll explain it. A woman's breast is consider a sexual area of the body. Like the vagina and ass. No woman has ever looked at a man's breasts and said "ooooh, look at this guy's boobs, they make me so horny!". A man's breast is NOT an erotic area of his body (and you know what I mean, don't say that a six-pack or feet can be considered erotic, I mean the BASIC erotic areas). But a woman's breast is. Don't ask me why, ask nature. So, this is why a man can open the door if someone rings and be topless, because a woman won't be shocked, but if the mailman rings the bell and a woman opens topless, it will be kind of awkward. Why? I don't know, why is it awkward to do another natural thing like farting in public? Some things simply don't need to have an answer, you agree? It's because.
And also, seriously, there are many much-much-much more serious problems in this world. Women have survived wearing clothes above waist in parks, banks, movie theaters, mall, etc., and they will keep on and live happy.
And last...let's say that 150,000,000 women live in America, right? How many of them do you think that they want to be free and be topless in public places? Even if it's 10,000,000, that means that 140,000,000 doesn't want to be topless in public places. So there you go. It's your choice if you want to live the rest of your life miserable because you can't be topless in public places (if you're a woman), or just let it go, and find other ways to be happy.
Do you realize that we, humans, civilized humans, learned to live our lives wearing clothes for the past 2,500 years, at least? It's one of the common facts that separates us from animals. Why should we change the way we live because of you, the very small minority of SJW (at least about this subject)? I repeat, there are places for nudists, or places to have orgies with strangers for those people who like it, google them and go there and have fun. If you want to fight about something serious, there is a big list, poverty, animal rights, bullying, climate change, the Amazon, wars around the world, choose something. Something that really matters. Showing your tits in public is not a serious problem, and the proof is that you're a small minority who wants that right. It's YOUR problem, not society's. You make it a problem to yourself.
p.s.: By the way, you didn't provide me with much info that I didn't already know. Because you suggested that I knew nothing about the subject. As you can see, I have an opinion. If you don't agree with that, it doesn't mean I'm ignorant, it means that we have different opinions.

Do you cover up all parts of your body, or do you make a conscious decision to show certain parts of your body "in a public place"? See, it's a pretty silly question, isn't it? You don't think about your bare arms offending people when you wear short sleeve shirts, do you? You don't think about your bare legs offending people when you wear shorts, do you? Of course not. Why should those who are wear nothing have to think about all their body parts all of the sudden? I mean, we were born naked - it's a more natural state for humans than wearing coverings made of plants, animals or petrochemicals.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable wearing a shirt because it was too hot? Maybe women can feel that way as well?
Do you think there should be limited places where men have to go off to (like nude beaches, etc.) if they want to take off their shirt? If not, then your argument is based on wanting to control women's bodies. They can decide for themselves with our your permission.
If you had bothered to watch the film, you'd know that your statement "there are many much-much-much more serious problems in this world" is silly for several reasons. I mean, I agree - and so do the film makers. Yet aren't YOU the one who chose to come to this message board to complain? Aren't there are many much-much-much more serious problems in this world that YOU could be spending YOUR time on?
Let's say there are only 10,000,000 Jews in the USA - does that mean they shouldn't have equal rights? The number of people wanting a freedom does not make that freedom more or less important.
Do you realize that several tribes around the world have been topless for millennium? Usually that ends when someone who believes in an imaginary sky fairy decides that's "immoral" and forces them to change their ways. So much for freedom.

Do I have to watch "Schindler's List" to have an opinion about the holocaust? No. I can go to the "Schindler's List's" board and say something about the holocaust without having seen the film, because the subject I'm talking about is relevant to the subject of the film. I'm not talking about the film "Free the Nipple", I'm talking about the subject it talks about. Can't I have an opinion about it without having seen the film?

There is a difference though. If gay people ask for the right to get married, it's because the rest of the people (the straight people) have the right to get married. And (some) straight people want gay people to have the right to get married because they want equality in society. The difference with the "free the nipple" thing is that only those 10,000,000 (or how many they are) women want that right. The rest of the 140,000,000 American women don't give a f--k, because it's not a serious problem in society. Do a test, go outside to your neighborhood, ask 100 women if they want to be free to show their nipples in public, and tell me how many said "yes" and how many said "no, why should I do that?".

Yes, and thanks for reminding me, I wanted to use this example. I would suggest you to join them. Go to the Amazon and eat snakes and ants and feel free to be naked all the time. Leave the western civilization, it doesn't suit you. If you feel uncomfortable living in a world that it's embarrassing for women to go topless and/or naked to the super market, then do yourself a favor and go join an African tribe. Seriously, why do you still live in a suppressive society like this? Being naked in public will never get legalized, so pack your things as soon as possible, and join a clothes free society, there are plenty of choices in every continent.
Now excuse me, I have to go to a rally for the right to pee in public places. Peeing is one of the most natural things to do, and it's wrong to suppress your bladder if you're in the bus and you just have to go. We ask for the right to carry a small plastic bottle, and pee in it right next to the other passengers.
When we win this fight, and get public peeing legalized, we're gonna rally for "number 2". And so on. Thank God, there are so many things to protest for, so we'll never get bored.
