Simplistic rubbish

Just once. Just once! I wish they could make an Australian historical drama that strayed from the usual cliches.
Black characters - virtuous, generous and wise
White characters - evil and stupid
English characters - pompous, evil and stupid

History is messy and every culture contains good and bad individuals and all shades between. Just once can we have some nuance; not just another simplistic fairy tale of bad people doing bad things to perfect people living in paradise.

I think we could handle it.
