Top 5 TV Comedies - Nathan For You #2

Just wrote a blog post ranking the top 5 comedies on TV right now. I have Nathan For You at #2. I thought I would post the link to this board if anybody is interested in reading:

thanks for posting that. I haven't heard of most of these shows. I'll check them out. I think Workaholics is very funny, better than it's always sunny in my opinion. Also Broad city is great.

reply

I like Workaholics but don't watch it regularly. If I come across it on Comedy Central I will usually watch and definitely laugh. I haven't seen Broad City yet. Should definitely give that show a chance as I see people give it a lot of love.

I agree with the list if you replace Nathan For You with impractical Jokers. The guys on that show just aren't funny. Not one of them would last at a table with my friends.

reply

Fair enough. I don't think they are quick witted stand up comics, but they are funny when they mess with people and each other. They grow on you too the more you watch.

reply

YeH Impractical Jokers are just annoying. Even their bits pranking strangers are middle school crap. A bunch of old ass chuckle-heads cackling over lame and poorly done Punk'd rip offs.

reply

Nathan is genius, and NFY is fantastic!

BTW, after you get around to watching** the first 2 seasons of Bojack Horseman, and all 6 seasons of Archer, let us know how you update the list.

Thanks!

** (both on Netflix, so no excuses!)

haha! I'm not a huge fan of animated comedies in general, but I have definitely heard only good things about those shows.

I tell ya, if you enjoy subtle and intelligent humor AND DRAMA, that gets better over time as characters as developed... these are worth the time to experience!

And I personaly was originally very skeptical/cynical. Probably because they are animated. But neither is a "kids show" that's for sure!
