Professionals that really aren't good at duets

Shouldn't they have picked more professionals that are good at singing with another person and that can sing other types of music than their own? Nettles and Clarkson in particular can't shut off their loud over the top singing. Is it just me or do some of the non professionals sound better than the professionals?

I partly agree with you keepon. Kelly definitely has a BIG voice so the amateur is completely overshadowed if they can’t match her strength. On the other hand I think Jennifer Nettles is the best singer and mentor on the show. She also selects the best material for neophyte talent level.
