Why did the little girl throw away the 8 ball in the first place? And why did that hole in the ground light up when the ball rolled into it?
When it was o the table by her computer you could see it had a big gash (Crack) on it. She was indending to order a new one to replace it. When her uncle was entering the room she panicked and tossed it out the window so her fatherwoulden't see the crack.
It lights up to show the audience that it was no ordinary ball, that was associated with the UFO we see in the flash back later on in the story. share
