Umm, what?
Interesting concept, somewhat intriguing story, but just a big let down with the ending.
shareAgreed. I wanted so much to like this one....was ready to give it a 4 on Netflix and a six or seven here....but the ending just floored me with how plain *stupid* it was. They could have made this a great flick if they had simply did a better ending. Here's one example;
Bruce goes back home and admits he ran the guy down....and the cops and the guy's wife *don't blame him*. They knew he was suicidal and that was the reason they were looking for him....and they assume that Bruce was telling them it was an accidental death to cover the suicide.
It just fell apart around the second cabin trip when the kid finds him. At that point, it went from "what's going on with this guy?" to "ummmm, this just got creepy".
I loved what's his name, the lead. GREAT actor and damned good work on this one. But this movie just went all to hell and I was cursing it at the end. I gave it a one on Netflix and a three here. The ending was "that bad", in my opinion, and it ruined what was a great movie.
