What was the meaning behind the last line?

I read everywhere that the last line was the best, but I couldn't make heads or tails about it.

When theres no more room in HELL the dead will walk the earth.

He's saying he brought his problems on himself in the end.

What last line do you mean? The last thing he said was:

"You know they say every guilty person is his own hangman. They also say tomorrow will be a better day. You know what I say? Goddamn it's freezing."

I thought it was pretty straightforward. He basically tortures himself by staying in the snow truck and will likely die out there.

It's his second winter out there. He'll be fine.

That last line was just for laughs. When you're in the wild. You only experience the elements: the cold, the heat, the dirt. No guilt. Nothing more.
