The HIT U.K. television series that was cancelled after ONE season! :)

And ironically, the North American version was also axed after one season.

There is no irony! The UK version was a "hit" that had 3 series commissioned and broadcast. The transplanted one based around Stanley Park and aired in Canada was not renewed after one season, in Canada. Syfy picked up the package for a summer slot filler, paired with Sinbad, on Saturday evenings. Both shows were not renewed prior(?) to Syfy's pickup. In essence, TV fare filler at a discount.

you mean cancelled in America? It ran for 5 seasons or so in the UK

Primeval had a pretty long run, especially as far as English shows go. So it was a decent hit. Yeah, there might have been a failed spin-off attempt before this, but it's really splitting hairs to suggest this is a spin-off of that and isn't a spin-off of the original.

Either you didn't know about the original or you're looking for excuses to bash this. And honestly, I don't think you need to make up reasons to bash this show.
