Second season might be possible
Space won't be making a second season but all is not lost.
SYFY will evaluate the show after a few episodes on their network wether or not they are gonna take over the series.
So please all watch SYFY ;)

shareMet Niall at a convention 2 weeks ago and he told us that Syfy were looking at ordering more episodes. Both he & Sara are in talks to possibly return for a second season

shareThe production team has been posting repeatedly on Twitter: "We are in talks with other international broadcasters--stay tuned!" It's hard to see how anyone would be interested if the ratings situation is what it appears to be, but stranger things have happened.

I would tend to believe something he said himself on two different occasions over the course of the weekend
But now that they've stripped the sets, it looks like there's not much chance of renewal
I'd love a second season. It's a great show. I won't be holding my breath though.
