Dear god stop calling them anomalies...it sounds retarded.

It was was OK the first couple of episodes...but it sounds dumb since it has become the official name of the phenomena.

Dear God stop calling things "retarded"... it sounds like you're an ignorant, insensitive jerk.

reply

And you sound like an idiot LOOKING for something to get offended over.

I actually enjoy watching people like you get shown the world isn't made of nerf.

Guess you beat them to it with your OP then?

You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!

@conundrum: Pot meet kettle.

reply

Someone called the use of a word retarded and you respond by calling him
"an ignorant, insensitive jerk." You faux-PC scumbag, you.

Yes, because "big sparkly timey-wimey thingies" sounds so much better.

Webster defines 'anomaly' as: "something different, abnormal, peculiar, or not easily classified", which pretty much sums up the "big sparkly timey-wimey thingies".

And when you say "the first couple of episodes", I assume that you're including the 36 episodes from the original series, since Adrian Hodges (the original series creator) is involved with this production.

"Portal" is better, you don't need silly paraphrase of Dr Who to describe them.

reply

Wow Conundrum-NSA, you are a creative genius! Portal instead of anomaly, I'm sure that that never occurred to the writers or any other members of the crew. You should be a writer. Lol.

Using the word retarded IS offensive, immature and ignorant which says a lot about you, none of it being good. Your posts just prove the type of person you are. You seem to want to offend others as well as trying to bully them. Actually your attempts at bullying are quite pathetic. Well, I guess you can add that to the long list of things you suck at.

reply

Exactly how is "Portal" better than "Anomaly"? They're both just words to describe something. And it's not like portal has never been used before.

Also, anomaly worked fine throughout the original series, and this is the first complaint I've heard about it.

reply

Indeed, they're called anomalies in this series because they were called anomalies in the original series. In the UK they don't have as much a problem with words over two syllables.

reply

I am gonna just second shonenbat's reply.

reply

You suggest Portal instead but to me Portal sounds like something constructed deliberately rather than a natural effect.

Anomaly was used initially as they thought they were random events caused by a change in SpaceTime something that that was out of place and didn't fit in with known physics later on they found they were natural but by then the name had stuck.

How about "Spastic Wormholes", or "Multidimensional Disco Balls" or maybe just "Hypercube Bullsh*t".
