Is a Sequel in the works?

Just rented this off XBox video today. I enjoyed it alot. MJW kicked ass. I read this is supposed to be part of a Codename Falcon action series. Is there a sequel in the works? I am totally game for more international adventures with John Chapman. Hopefully Neal McDonough returns as Falcon's handler as well.

They're hoping to turn this into a trilogy. I hope it gets enough support.

reply

I know I'll support it! Bring it on!

reply

I hope so, too. Brought me back to my younger years in the 80's watching Van Damme, Don "The Dragon" Wilson and Chuck Norris tear it up in some non-stop, kick ass violent action flicks.

reply

It's in development and is supposedly called Flight of the Falcon.

reply

Yep.

The second installment of the CODENAME:FALCON franchise sees ex-Navy Seal John Chapman travel to Southeast Asia to track down a stolen shipment of nuclear material before it is sold on the black market.

Very doubtful considering the stats:

Budget: $4 500 000 (estimated)
Opening Weekend: $8 691 (USA) (5 September 2014)
Gross: $8 691 USA) (5 September 2014)

Maybe if the Blu-Rays/DVDs sell like crazy but yeah it's doubtful to say the least

I would like to see a sequel tho, but only if Michael Jai White reprises his role he's the only reason worth seeing it he's a good action hero...

But it was a limited released though it was not meant to make money at the theater,it will depend on Blu Ray/DVD Sells which can be a problem because lots of people just pirate these movies straight to dvd movies

Hopefully it happens

That's true on both accounts

If Mike Jai White has time to make a sequel to any of his movies it had better be BLOOD AND BONE.

reply

Blood and Bone is definitely one kickass movie and the movie that made me a huge MJW fan, but I really like the sequel potentials in this one. Blood and Bone, while awesome, didn't really have anything more to explore there.

Poorly Lived and Poorly Died, Poorly Buried and No One Cried

reply

True but if it weren't for pirating, many people wouldn't dish out cash to buy a bluDVD or even give this movie a chance. So I'm not against it but I say if you like the movie, go out and support and buy the bluray which I def most will. Michael Jai White kicks ass.

It must have been an intentionally limited theatrical release, done for some technical reason--to make it eligible for something, or to qualify it for something contractually, etc.

What would matter more is the DVD (including those purchased for rentals)/streaming/cable and broadcast/licensing etc. receipts worldwide.

I'm really hoping it gets sequels, too.

I'm a total Michael Jai White fan ever since Spawn. I could totally see him being Blade if they ever do a reboot and you know they will! Who's with me???

reply

I thought it was great. I really hope they make a sequel soon.
