The Awkwardness is so Horrible Forced

I really hate the 'Geeky awkward character dialogue' which has become a Hollywood trope in the last 10 years and launched the careers of such people as Michael Cera. Unfortunately this movie has it in buckets. It's so deliberately hammered in to the directing and acting that it in itself becomes awkward.

How much longer do we have to put up with this until Hollywood moves on?
