Really enjoyed it! Slight spoiler

There were a few minor problems with this. But, generally, it was so watchable that I was more than happy to put them to one side and just enjoy it... The final episode was the tensest thing I've seen on tele since the last episode of "The Bridge"... Emotional too... I thought the corpse that came up the well was quite naff, particularly considering they'd steered well clear of anything gory elsewhere - having Nancy's ghost pull Gordon / Maurice in would have fitted better with the style they'd gone for. But, as I've said, I really did enjoy this.

I really like it too. I think a lot of the negative reviews stem from it "not being scary enough" but it's hard to scare people when there are so many ghost stories to see. The story itself was great though and it showed how corporal punishment was a widely accepted accepted practice in the recent past. I actually thought the struggle that Nancy had trying to save the children was a more interesting story than the ghost story but the interweaving of the two worked well.
