I'm sure I've seen this before???

I started watching The secret of Crickley hall, but realised that I have seen this story before, now I'm racking my brains trying to remember what it was. I am sure I saw it at the cinema within the past two years. Does anyone know what the film was called to put me out of my misery? Thanks.

There are certain similarities with "The Orphanage". Though, it's much less scary.

It's a very similar story to Marchlands that was an ITV drama of a few years ago.

Yes, I think it might be a mix between the Awakening and the Orphanage. Thanks guys :-)

This show is very similar to "The Devil's Backbone" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0256009/ by director Guillermo del Toro

I know exactly which one you're thinking about and its none of the answers you've gotten so far.
I've seen it also, and now it's stuck in my brain aswell.
I'll let you know if i figure it out :)

I think you might be thinking of The Haunting, with Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones. A bunch of people stay at a creepy old house, only to find the original owner went nuts, killed some orphans and then wouldn't let them leave the house/mansion.

Now I know.
Its American Horror Story!! Woho! I knew it :p

The Haunting, with Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones definitely had the book as well, like they used in the production. Basically I think it is a mix of a lot of horror movies and stories.
