Gillian Anderson is endlessly watchable. I am riveted by her portrayal of Stella. Anderson brings a beautiful, underplayed nuance to almost every scene. I often find myself no longer focusing on the dialogue but rather how ravishingly gorgeous is this woman?! She's an adult actress, in the full bloom of her forties, and her age looks so good on her.
I want more stories with DSI Stella Gibson! This character and Anderson's performance pull me in. So "falls the shadow" of Stella across this viewers mind.

C'mon, Cubitt, give us a fourth series!

I think the same, and I'm a hetero woman. I'm just started watching the series again and I'm like why I didn't catch this or that before?, just like you said I get lost just by looking at her. If she was pretty on the X-files oh gosh now she is stunning!
