I was honestly surprised this topic wasn't addressed already. His acting is SO bad, it reminded me of Dirk Diggler in "Boogie Nights". I guess he has what it takes to be a porn star, but the acting is Golden Raspberry worth.

His mannerisms in hardcore porn features are repetitive and boring -goes through exactly the same motions hundreds of times (probably thousands). He always looks unhealthy -pale, unshaven and as if he showed up on set after pulling an all-nighter. Why this guy has emerged as, uncontested, the top male name in porn of the past decade is embarrassing.

Deen and Lohan didn't have much of any material to act in. It's mostly the younger actor getting out of the car and walking into a different house, if he's not listening to messages on the phone that could have been scenes to act in instead. It's the fault of Shrader and the Bret Easton Ellis script. He was okay, but too much relied on interior thoughts or motives.

Not only is he completely talentless (his 'acting' is clearly only suited for porn) but he's the male equivelent of a "butterface": his body from the neck down is alright but his face is absolutely vomit-inducing, very much like putting Johnny Manziel's equally unattractive head on an otherwise decent male body.
The role of Christian would've been better if played by the corpse of John Holmes. Yikes.
