Rex and Allison

For god's sake, what does she have to do for him to get that she's not that into him? Man up, Dude and walk away.

If you can't walk and talk/text at the same time, do the rest of us a favor and get out of the way.

reply

Exactly!

He is pathetic chasing after her. She just strings him along.

Why is he just permitting her to run the relationship? It is so wrong for her to keep him on the side with "I need you/ I was in love and not ready for another relationship", and be jealous when he dances with someone else. Oh God he need to get a girlfriend, a HOT girlfriend in the company to fall head over hills for. I'd like to see her deal with that! I may sound really petty round now but, I'm glad she's struggling with the tempo in Pequita. She deserves to suffer the way she's making Rex suffer. Rex is a sweetheart but he won't wait forever.

reply

I think he should walk over to Beckanne, frankly.

Ditto that! Beckanne's better looking, a better dancer, and a nicer person. How can you not love her?

reply

Exactly! Of course she walks all over him. He lets her!! But I do have to say I felt bad for her tonight when her parents were getting her all upset about how she should go back to her ex-boyfriend (who if he had any brains at all was sick of HER and dumped HER) and saying what were supposed to be "sweet" things about Rex but were really actually condescending, rude and nasty. Of course she is like she is. It's in the gene pool. I'm glad she did well in emeralds even though she couldn't hold a candle to Christiana but I laughed my butt off over the whole Paquita fiasco. DONT PISS OFF THE CONDUCTOR!!

reply

They make a really nice couple.
If Allison doesn't want him I'll be more than happy to cheer him up.

reply

I walked away many times trust me. I even started dating other people. This has been going on for 3 years now and what you see on the show is the "Breaking Pointe"? ;) of our relationship. haha I had to sorry.

Nope, we are together and happy. The drama is augmented, and the way Allison is portrayed is even more so. Don't believe everything you see on TV :)

That's nice of you to let us know. I'd love for this show to get renewed but when I saw the cliffhanger I was pissed 'cause we might never find out what happened. Did they shoot the scene where you guys actually got back together or did that not happen until after they finished shooting the show?

Anyway, I was surprised that it was the finale already and there were only 6 episodes. I lived in Utah for a few years and honestly it was just nice to see the state so beautifully captured on this show. And it's fun to see what's going on behind the scenes at BW. Some people on here look down on it but I used to go to shows all the time and was never disappointed.

I have lived here for 4 years now and I must say...this place is beautiful! They did a great job on the time captures (wish they showed more) of the city. I guess I should have said spoiler alert with this stuff but I don't know if there is going to be a second season or not...and if there is I would hope it excluded our relationship drama which doesnt exist anymore haha.

I'm sorry about my initial post and that I took such a long time to reply to past responses. I think it sucks that you say and live honestly in front of a camera only to be edited to death. Seeing all the reality shows on today, I don't know if I would ever do one. It would be hard for me to be filmed and then realize that I have really no idea how the footage is going to be edited. I think the television industry needs to be addressed about this. Do you have any say at all about footage used or is it all controlled by the CW and or Ballet West?

reply

Relationships are complicated enough--without TV cameras following you around and wanting drama for its effect.

Fair enough. Then don't agree to play yours out in front of one.

Just wondering something: Let's say that you're in a ballet company that's approached to be filmed for a 'reality' TV show. You and the rest of the company like the idea--the exposure, the publicity, the [perhaps] increased box office sales, etc., so you agree to do it. Are you supposed to know going in that you're going to be edited a certain way? When they're filming you hour upon hour talking about all sorts of stuff OTHER than your love life, are you supposed to know that they're going to focus ONLY on your love life? In other words, however the producers decide THEY want to depict you on-screen?

See, I don't think that would occur to me. Of course I realize that 'reality' TV shows rarely are 100% REAL, but I wouldn't necessarily expect to have my entire essence boiled down to ONE aspect of my actual life. Would you? Especially on a show that's centered on dance. I'd expect DANCE and my involvement with it would be how I'm depicted. But that's just me!

Sadly this is how it goes in TV. After being a part of this show I realised how narrow the characters on TV are. In reality most people have depth to thier life but on a screen you have to be pigeon-holed to reach a demographic. I can assure you that I only spoke of Allison and our relationship about 5% of the time...but all of that made it on the show. ha

reply

I think the problem is that too many people don't realize there's a limit to how REAL a 'reality' TV show actually is. The powers that be undoubtedly want drama or conflict, so if they have to chop up and edit someone's actual comments/life in order to create drama, so be it. Personally, I think that sucks, because I'd prefer to see 'real' people for who they REALLY are. But I'm not the producer.

While you may not know how they will edit you, you should know they will certainly edit you (cue the past decade of The Bachelor). As creative as the editors may get, they can only work with the material you give them.

When they're filming you hour upon hour talking about all sorts of stuff OTHER than your love life, are you supposed to know that they're going to focus ONLY on your love life?

Yes!
