I get the feeling from the script that Cassandra was supposed to be a prettier version of Emily -- blonder, perkier, perfect nose, perfect body. It would make for good poetry if that were so.
I'm not buying this actress as "hot" or the girl who got all the guys. The other actress who plays Tyra is much prettier, perkier, hotter. Cassandra is not.
I don't agree, I can totally see the actress that plays Cassandra as the queen bee in high school. She's pretty, cunning and smart.

Opinions about looks often vary, but I think that Cassandra has beautiful facial features and an attractive body (slender). Some cheerleaders are short and popular.

Yorick, while I'm not a big Emily fan (eyes too close together) I do think that Cassandra is "prettier" but her personality is horrible. She plays on HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER and I'm not crazy about her there either. Something about the fake hair...I think a different hairstyle would be more flattering. Sick of the weaves
shareNot all bullies are cheerleader types. I just figured she was an academic bully. The ones that believe they were smarter and superior to everyone but do not have the typical 'geek' look and thus don't get picked on. I could see her as the popular type because she is manipulative, confident and smart.
Anyway it would make sense if she was a cheerleader. She's small/skinny and athletic. Easy to throw/carry while having the stamina to keep up with the routine. Not all cheerleaders are stereotypes either.
Her attractiveness is a hit or miss. Some people find her attractive and some don't from the responses on this thread. I think she's attractive.
I respectfully disagree. I think Aja (Cassandra) is very pretty. The actress that plays Tyra is okay looking but she's got nothing on Cassandra who IMHO has a great body. I totally buy that she was the popular girl in high school. Nothing about her character screams perky though. She is not written that way which is why the actress is playing her as a straight up bitch with some emotional depth. She must be doing a good job because every time she's on screen I want to punch her in the face.

Comparing Cassandra to Lulu in "Jane By Design" is exactly why I don't think the actress chosen was a good fit.
Whoever played Lulu looked the part as the pretty but mean queen bee type while whoever plays Cassandra is just average looking and looks more like a fellow socially outcast, punk-type bully.

Cassandra is always in ugly work clothes. Like at my job when people wear normal clothes you see how fashionable, weird, edgy they look. If nothing else, the actress has the mean nasty attitude down pat.
