Thom cruise and Emmy Rawsom?
I just happened to fall asleep with the t.v. on and when I woke out Off the air was on
so I watched it. It was the Work episode and it flashed an image of Thom cruise and Emmy Rawsom. What? Or should I say who?
It's just a style of humor similar to Tim & Eric's in which creators don't want to use the real names of celebrities, but still want to suggest to the audience that the characters are closely based on the actual people. It's a play on "Bland-Name Products" (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlandNameProduct), where, to avoid lawsuits, creators use in-universe titles that are similar to actual names (i.e., there's a restaurant on The Simpson's called Kentucky Fried Panda).
